THE 18 POINTS FOR THE GROWTH OF THE INDIAN ECONOMY
The subject of economics has to be looked in more carefully in order to remove the poverty and misery of millions in India. There are many problems that exist in India for not becoming an economically developed country.
1. Population, Poverty and Illiteracy:-
Illiteracy rate in India is high. Due to lack of understanding on how to live and how to do things, we are not able to generate income. Because of this, Indians struggle to buy the basic facilities of food, shelter and clothing. They do not have complete knowledge on the precautionary measures during sex, resulting in the increase in population. Due to population problem, the rising need of the extra population cannot be fulfilled.
2. Unemployment:-
Not only Indian suffers from poor nutrition he also lives without proper jobs. There is a problem of unemployment or under employed.
3. Lack of Proper Distribution System:-
A farmer may sow seed in his land and grow crops. A middleman might buy from the farmer at a low rate and sells it to the whole sale .The retailer buys from the whole sale and sells it at a high price to the end user. There is no proper government distribution system so that the end user is benifitted.
4. Under Utilization of Resources:-
Underemployment is a under utilization of resource where a engineer might do a clerk’s job.
5. Irregular Infrastructure Facilities:-
In silicon city all the hardware and software companies exist whereas in India all the units are spitted in different areas. There is an extra transport and communication expense.
6. Communication Problems:-
There are many regional languages in India. The universal language English is accepted only by a few. If at all they know their regional language they are not able to express it and communicate properly in unity.
7. Low Income:-
The average Indian because of his low income spends money on drinks. He does not have savings as he has low income. Thus as the per capita income of India is low he is not able to contribute to the growth of the economic development.
8. Poor Agriculture Output:-
Even through the statistics shows that India has sufficient amount of food in some states, there are other states where people still starve for food.
9. Traditional outlook:-
Indians still do not have a broader vision or a vision of a modern future or a developing countries vision. The British in India built huge railways and huge building so that we can use it even today but the traditional outlook fixes us within the limits so that we are not able to improve. We got to face things bravely by changing and reforming.
10. Child labor:-
The problem of child labor exists where millions of children are made to work without future. They neither get sufficient money or the life.
11. Focus on agriculturist:-
If India is strong in agriculture with 75% of Indians in agriculture either directly or indirectly then it is important for us to have a special educational system for agriculturist to make them literate. The literacy rate of agriculturist has to be made strong with agriculture education starting from school. Along with this the art of living has to be taught. Co-operative banks has to be opened in all villages to help the farmers .Transportation facilities should be easily available like hiring facilities .Media’s contribution to agriculture should be made in the form of information sharing. If we do all the above said things then India might become 75% literate in the next 10-15 years.
12. Technical Education:-
Technical education is getting better in India with the opening of engineering colleges. Automobiles, electronics, construction, computer and many other technical education exist. Ultimately the technology should be made practical in India for the lay man and not for a different country.
13. Migration from Villages to Cities:-
While the cities and towns get modernized, the people from villages come and occupy the modern places to make it a congestion. The villages has to be with inbuilt facilities so that villager should get on opportunity to live in his place. There has to be a stop to the migration problem.
14. Brain Drain:-
While all the educated brains of India go to work in the MNC’s of foreign companies, the precious brain of an Indian is wasted for a foreign soil. Thus India is not able to improve. This is a loss which leads to India being undeveloped.
15. Lack of Technology:-
Money has to be spent on research and implementation of technological solution in the Indian infrastructure .Technology has to be made available for the public. The public may use banking facilities, transport for movements, jobs for living, employment facilities to seek a job, media for information, business for living, agriculture for life, medicine of being sick, planning any schedule, government and private offices may use the technology, the maintanance of a country etc. Technology has to be developed. technology has to be bought for money and executed with money. It is an investment for the future that can stimulate the growth of India. Literacy is Parallel . Production is multiple times higher than the manual operation, particularly agriculture. But unfortunately to use the technology one has to be a literate.
16. Investments:-
Indians have come a long way with 10 five year plans gone. The future plans requires us to do these. Industries like small, medium, large and very large scale are improving. India has many billionaires. There are many airlines and consumer giants. The government should consult with these billionaires and ask them to invest on emergency sectors like medicine and clothing. Whatever money that is generated through globalization, privatisation has to be re-invested on steel, sugar, textile, jute, crude oil, cement, cottage industries etc. The government should invite investments from the giants in industrial finance. India should make policies that are flexible enough to transfer the goods and stop corruption with goods. The government should not compromise in providing quality with the service. Industries and the branches of all organizations has to be made available in villages. India has a big work force .people can be taken in as volunteers to achieve this dream.
17. The role of N.C.C:-
NCC can be made as a volunteering force to improve our nation. It can be made to work 24x7 until we achieve the goal of a developed country. We should give then the powers to execute actions like monitoring the basic facilities of public like the slum clearance, food, clothing problems, beggars, abandoned people, law, crime, injustice, courts and cases. Volunteers must be taken in and paid if necessary. Help booths have to be provided for public for consultations in all areas and in villages. Ambulances, first aid and emergency treatment centers have to be provided. Government shelter, government clothing units, 24x7 government subsidized food houses, must be there in all areas .The people must be also be stopped from corruption in the country.
18. Law and Order
Changes also has to be made in law for the effective economic development and economic growth.
Thus, all the above information’s can be utilized while planning the long term plans for improving India in it’s economic growth.
